Donna Schlacter Canadian by birth, American by choice, Donna Schlachter left everything and moved to Denver in 1999 to marry Patrick, the man chosen by God to be her husband. Together they have two daughters and eight grandchildren. Donna is past-treasurer of her local American Christian Fiction Writers chapter and facilitates a local critique group. She has worn many hats in the past, including bank teller, accounting clerk, paper-girl, professional cleaner, and apartment manager. A storyteller at heart, Donna’s passion is to tell His Story through the ages, using flawed characters in need of a Savior, because this is her story.

Jeanne Marie Leach is a multi-published fiction author, freelance editor, speaker, and writing coach. The 46th member to join the ACFW, she now teaches classes on editing fiction through an editing group and judges the Genesis Contest and the Carol Awards. She led an ACFW critique group for five years and has attended eleven writer’s conferences, ran the ACFW Conference bookstore for four year and is currently the ACFW Novel Track Coordinator. Behind the scenes, she has privately mentored and tutored beginning ACFW writers, many of whom have gone on to win or final in writing contests, and most are now multi-published.

J. N. (Jill) Hups has been part of ACFW and HIS Writers since 2006, and in 2008 was part of a team that implemented social networking and web presence for HIS Writers, Mile High Scribes, Worship Write Witness, and ACFW Colorado. She currently serves as HIS Writers president, ACFW Colorado webmaster, and Internet/publicity chairperson for HIS Writers and ACFW Colorado.

Jill’s ongoing project is a nine-book, young adult speculative fiction series called “Spector.” The first book is due to release February 29, 2016, with Spirit Publications, an independent publishing house located in Colorado.

Award-winning author Mary Davis has over a dozen novels in both historical and contemporary themes. She is president of her local ACFW chapter, and is active in two critique group. Paula Moldenhauer is passionate about God’s grace. An author and speaker, she has published over 300 times. Her first romance story, You’re a Charmer Mr. Grinch in Postmark: Christmas, and her first historical novel, Titanic: Legacy of Betrayal, release in 2012.  Paula serves as the ACFW Colorado Coordinator. Tamara D. Fickas has always seen the world in a series of stories. Her desire to use her talent to spread the love of Christ led her to complete both the Christian Writer’s Guild Apprentice and Journeyman programs. In 2011 Tammie accomplished a long held dream of writing a novel. Now that the first draft is complete 2012 will be full of revisions and getting the novel ready for submission to agents and publishers. You may also hear about her adorable kitty boy named Wilson since he comes up in conversation a lot!

Carla LaureanoCarla Laureano has worked in sales and marketing within a variety of industries, including medical device manufacturing and motivational speaking. In 2011, she founded Instant IQ Media & Consulting to help small businesses and professionals grow their reach and market themselves more effectively.

Carla writes inspirational fantasy and romance, and she was recently selected as a finalist in ACFW’s 2012 Genesis contest. She currently serves as a member of ACFW Colorado’s publicity and marketing committee. Her Saturday “Mastering Marketing” column helps writers apply basic marketing principles to their own publicity goals.
