Welcome to the American Christian Fiction Writers of Colorado’s Inkwell Blog. Our blog has been around for a while, but as any writer knows, sometimes you have to take a step back from a project. Our work can drain our energy and leave us floundering. When that happens, taking a break and coming back can be a great thing for you and your writing.
So, after taking a break on the Inkwell Blog we are back to business. Our desire is to provide inspiration, insight, education, and humor. This blog is a place to learn and grow and know that you are not alone in your writing journey.
Here at the start, our posting schedule will be Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday each week.
Jeanne Marie Leach will be providing regular weekly posts on the craft of writing on Thursdays. As a published author, accomplished editor, and mentor Jeanne will bring her expertise in all things writing. Come back later this week for her first exciting series on how to use sensory science to take your stories to new depths.
Tammie Fickas will be posting each week on Saturdays. As a writer who is still unpublished she will be blogging about her journey as she prepares her first novel for submission.
Also this week you will be hearing from Paula Moldenhauer our new ACFW Colorado Coordinator. If you haven’t met Paula, you will be delighted when you do. Paula has an amazing heart for God and for fellow writers. She has a vision of the ACFW Colorado chapters bringing you, the writers of Colorado, encouragement and support.
At the top of the blog you will find a page titled ACFW Colorado Authors. This page is still under construction, but on this page, in coordination with the ACFW Colorado web site, we will bringing you information about books and short stories written by our members. Additionally, once a month we will be showcasing a Colorado author on the blog. This is your opportunity to meet your fellow Colorado authors.
Coming in February we would like to feature short stories (500-1000 words) from our members each week and are looking for entries from our readers. Use the contact form at the top of the page to let us know you are interested.
This blog is about you and for you. We would love to hear from you on what you would like to see here. We are also still looking for people who would like to be a regular contributor. Knowing how busy everyone’s lives are, we are open to whatever works for you whether that be once a month, once a week or just when you have a break between projects.
Please use the contact form to get in touch with Tammie Fickas if you would like to write for us, have a question or request about the content we will offer, or if you have a short story you would like to submit.
