Hello Inkwell Readers!
I wanted to update you on the Peak Writing Conference that I mentioned in last week’s post. First off, it’s not too late to register! You can register until February 3.
There have been a couple of changes that you should know about. Tracie Peterson has had a family emergency and won’t be able to be the speaker. Please pray for Tracie and her family Jeff Gerke will be stepping in as the speaker for the conference. Jeff is the publisher at Marcher Lord Press, an editor and a best-selling author.
The other change is the location. The conference will now be held at First Evangelical Free Church 820 North 30th Street (Corner of 30th & Fontanero) Colorado Springs, CO.
One other thing about the conference that you should know is the contest that is being held. You can enter to win a full proposal critique (up to 30 pages with sample chapters) by industry veteran and editor, Jim Peterson AND a proposal critique by Alive Communications agent – Joel Kneedler. The deadline for this contest is February 2 and you must send your ticket purchase number to be entered. Write a one line entry (25 words or less) to grab the judges attention. More details can be found on the EventBrite registration page.
The Peak Writing Conference promises to be full of amazing teaching and fellowship with other writers. We look forward to seeing you there.
Also, some blog related news. We have a new regular contributor coming on board. Starting in the next week or two our very own mistress of all things technical, Jill Hups will be joining us on Tuesdays. Her column, Techie Tuesday, will feature information about all the things a writer needs to know to keep up with the technology of our jobs. We look forward to Jill sharing her knowledge with us all.
Finally, Paula, our new Colorado ACFW coordinator hasn’t forgotten us. Life has thrown her some monkey wrenches, but she is still working on a post to share her thoughts and vision for the coming year.
Thank you for visiting the site. If you haven’t done so, you can sign up for RSS feeds through your reader or sent by email to make it easy to keep up with what is going on at the Inkwell. The links for signing up are at the top of the right sidebar.
